How we use GitHub

This document is meant to document what our GitHub account is for and how to access it.

The platform team currently does not store any code on GitHub. Our Github account is only used for notifications at this time. We use the GitHub-actions [bot] to notify all members of the nis.org.ad.plat.team group of all changes on our projects. To access this account, you have to get the credentials from vault Here

We also use a token (with read-only access) from our GitHub account to grant the renovate-runner project access to GitHub.
